The Sheriff’s Office arrested four people early this morning on various charges after a deputy stopped to investigate a suspicious vehicle that pulled behind a building at 34 Baxter CR 25 in rural Mountain Home at approximately 2:00 AM.

The building housed a business at one time, but appeared to be vacant.  Corporal Rockie Morrell made contact with the driver of the vehicle, who was subsequently identified as 40 year old AMY CAROL WILSON of Mountain Home. AMY WILSON was found to have several outstanding warrants for her arrest and was taken into custody. WILSON provided an explanation as to why she had driven behind the building, indicating she was there to drop off a heater. WILSON asked Corporal Morrell if he could try to contact a person said to be inside the building to see if that person could take possession of WILSON’s vehicle without having to tow it.

Sergeant Dwight Duch went to the door of the building to try and make contact with someone.  Entry into the building was subsequently made, and several other persons were found to be inside.  One of these persons was 26 year old CHANTEL AREE BIGGERS of Ash Flat, Arkansas.  It was determined that BIGGERS was on probation with a search waiver on file. BIGGERS gave officers conflicting stories and false information as to the identity of other people inside the building.  Officers next encountered a man who refused to identify himself.  A small child was with this man, and officers also observed a handgun protruding from between mattresses on a bed.  This man was ultimately identified as 36 year old BRANDY BRIAN BARNES of Mountain Home, and it was also determined that there were outstanding warrants for his arrest. BARNES was taken into custody.

Yet another person with an outstanding warrant was encountered in the building.  This man was identified as 34 year old NATHAN ERIC MCDONAGH of rural Mountain Home.

Officers also found drugs and drug paraphernalia inside the building, including approximately 24.2 grams of marijuana, hydrocodone and alprazolam pills, approximately 3.9 grams of methamphetamine,  a scale, grinder, rolling papers, and pipes.  All of these items were seized and taken into evidence.

At the conclusion of the investigation, all four of these persons were transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and booked on charges as indicated:
