PAROLEE ARRESTED AFTER STEALING A VEHICLE FROM A PRIVATE RESIDENCE

A parolee was arrested Tuesday afternoon, January 3rd, after he stole a motor vehicle from 71 Bayside Terrace in the rural Mountain Home area.
The owner of the vehicle reported to the Sheriff’s Office that her black 2010 Mazda 6 was stolen from the driveway of her home at approximately 1:15 PM. Sheriff’s dispatchers broadcast a description of the stolen vehicle. A short time later, at approximately 1:40 PM, an Arkansas State Trooper found the stolen vehicle in the same area of the county and arrested the occupant, 27 year old TAYLOR DANIEL GEORGE of rural Mountain, currently on parole from the Arkansas Department of Corrections.
The vehicle, valued at approximately $9,000, was returned to the owner, while TAYLOR GEORGE was transported to the Baxter County Detention Center and booked on a charge of felony Theft of Property and a Parole Violation. He is being held on a bond of $7,500 on the vehicle theft charge and a no bond hold on the parole violation. GEORGE is expected to appear in the Circuit Court to answer on January 12, 2017.
