PROBATION/PAROLE HOME VISIT NETS TWO ARRESTS

      A rural Mountain Home couple were arrested on drug charges Monday afternoon, November 14th, after Sheriff’s Investigators and officers with the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections conducted a probation/parole home visit at 4952 Hwy 62 West. 

     During this probation/parole visit, officers conducted a search of the residence and an outbuilding.  The search uncovered approximately 16.9 grams of liquid methamphetamine, approximately .5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and various articles of drug paraphernalia including smoking pipes and spoons. 

     Both of the persons residing at the residence were arrested and taken into custody.  The male also had a small amount of marijuana on his person when he was searched.  Both were transported to the Detention Center and booked on the following charges:

CHRISTOPHER ALFRED KNAPP, 51 years of age, charged with:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) – Felonies
Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance (marijuana) – Misdemeanor
Parole Violation – Felony

     CHRISTOPHER KNAPP has a bond of $15,000 on the new drug charges and a no bond hold for the Parole Violation.  He will appear before the Circuit Court to answer on November 17th.

REBEKAH LYNN KNAPP, 40 years of age, charged with:

Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver – Felony
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (2 counts) – Felonies
Forgery – Outstanding Felony Bench Warrant
Theft of Property – Outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant
Violation of Arkansas Hot Check Law – Outstanding Misdemeanor Warrant

     The Forgery and Theft warrant had been issued on November 7th following an investigation by the Sheriff's Office into the fraudulent use of another person's checking account information by REBEKAH KNAPP.  She had used this account information to make ten (10) unauthorized online purchases and payments for her own use and benefit.

     REBEKAH KNAPP has a bond of $18,843.15 and will also appear before the Circuit Court to answer on November 17th.
