A rural Mountain Home man, 44 year old KANE ALLEN GOTT, was arrested on felony charges after deputies responded to a domestic disturbance Thursday afternoon, July 7th.
The Sheriff’s Office received a call at approximately 3:01 PM from a woman reporting the disturbance and stating that her husband, later identified as KANE GOTT, had injured her and was threatening to kill officers when they showed up at the residence. He was reportedly armed with knives and a pellet gun and had locked himself in the back room. A 12 year old child was present when this transpired.
Several deputies responded to the residence. The victim and child were secure and free from danger when deputies arrived. Deputies then observed GOTT through a window and saw he was armed with a dagger and a bat. Glass was then heard to break. After several minutes, deputies were able to make contact with GOTT. He resisted, and deputies used a TASER device to gain control of him. Other knives and weapons were found in proximity to GOTT.
KANE ALLEN GOTT was then taken into custody and ultimately transported to the Detention Center. He was booked on charges of:
Aggravated Assault on Family or Household Member – Felony
Endangering the Welfare of a Minor – Felony
He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond, and there will be a No Contact Order issued to prohibit him having contact or communication with the victim. He will appear in the Circuit Court to answer on July 14th.
