David Joshua Burkhart

      When responding to a prowler call late Tuesday evening on Kingswood Boulevard off State Highway 201 North, deputies encountered a naked man in the yard of the caller’s residence.

     Sheriff’s Sergeant Dwight Duch responded to the call at 11:46 PM.  On arrival, he found 31 year old DAVID JOSHUA BURKHART of Calico Rock, Arkansas in the complainant’s yard without any clothing on.  Upon further inspection, it was found that BURKHART had pulled two windows screens off the residence in an attempt to gain entry. BURKHART was heavily intoxicated.

     Deputies learned that DAVID BURKHART had been camping at nearby Lake Norfork and had wandered up to this house.  He was taken into custody and transported to the Detention Center where he was booked on charges of:

Criminal Attempt to Commit Residential Burglary – Felony
Public Intoxication – Misdemeanor
Disorderly Conduct – Misdemeanor

     He is being held on $15,000 bond and will appear in the Circuit Court to answer on June 30th.
