During this past Saturday's drug take-back event, members of the public turned in approximately 177 pounds of unused and unwanted pharmaceuticals to be destroyed.

     In addition to what was collected Saturday, the Sheriff's Office has also received approximately 1,315 pounds of additional pharmaceuticals during the past six months since the last take-back event. 

     All of these drugs and medications collected will be transported to Jonesboro in the near future and will be turned over to the DEA for proper disposal.
