INVESTIGATORS MAKE ARREST FOR DISTRIBUTING METH

NICHOLAS THOMAS KOSKINEN, 30 years old of rural Mountain Home, has been arrested on drug delivery charges after Investigators utilized a cooperating individual (CI) to purchase methamphetamine from KOSKINEN.
On January 4, 2016, the CI bought approximately one (1) gram of methamphetamine from KOSKINEN. This transaction took place within 1000 feet of a church, and a cellular phone was used to facilitate the transaction.
On January 5, 2016, the CI bought approximately 4.2 grams of methamphetamine from KOSKINEN for $350.00. This transaction took place within 1000 feet of a city park, and a cellular phone was also used in the transaction.
A third controlled buy from KOSKINEN took place on January 11, 2016, when the CI bought approximately 4.5 grams of methamphetamine from KOSKINEN for $400.00, with a cellular phone being used.
Investigators obtained a warrant for the arrest of KOSKINEN. He has been incarcerated in the Detention Center since February 11th and is charged with:
Delivery of Methamphetamine (3 counts) – Felonies
Unlawful Use of a Communications Device (3 counts) – Felonies
Proximity to Certain Facilities (2 counts) – Felonies
Habitual Offender – Penalty Enhancement
Bond on these charges is $25,000, and he will appear in Circuit Court to answer on February 25th.
Agencies involved in the arrest were the Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Home Police, Arkansas State Police, and 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force.
