TWO MEN ARRESTED AFTER FLEEING ON FOOT FROM DEPUTIES

Two men were arrested Tuesday afternoon, February 2nd, after fleeing on foot from deputies at a residence at 3331 Highway 5 North in rural Mountain Home.
The Sheriff’s Office had received a citizen tip indicating that a wanted person, 60 year old MICHAEL RAY TOLLIVER, could be found at the residence in question. Sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Davis and Investigators Scott Thrasher and Roger Pike went to the location in an effort to apprehend TOLLIVER.
After arriving at the residence, Sgt. Davis radioed that two men were fleeing on foot from the rear of the residence. Officers gave chase and apprehended the two men approximately 150 yards to the Northeast of the residence in the woods a short time later. These men were identified as MICHAEL TOLLIVER and 39 year old CHADWICK DALE WHITLOW.
While conducting a search of WHITLOW’s clothing, officers found six small white pills in his possession. These were later identified as morphine, a schedule 2 narcotic, for which WHITLOW did not have a prescription.
Both suspects were transported to the Detention Center and incarcerated on the following charges:
MICHAEL RAY TOLLIVER of Norfork:
Failure to Appear – Felony
Failure to Appear (2 counts) – Misdemeanors
Fleeing - Misdemeanor
He is currently being held without bond and will appear in Circuit Court on February 11th to answer.
CHADWICK DALE WHITLOW of rural Mountain Home:
Possession of Controlled Substance – Felony
Fleeing – Misdemeanor
Probation Violation – Felony
He is currently being held without bond and will also appear in Circuit Court on February 11th to answer.
