The Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 31 year old Jordan man, TYLER PAUL HUDGENS, on multiple charges related to a burglary, break-ins, and thefts in the county after an investigation that began on September 11th. On that date, the Sheriff’s Office took a report from the owner of the Quarry Marina on Lake Norfork. When reviewing video surveillance, a man was observed on the boat dock at approximately 3:30 in the morning removing fuel tanks from pontoon boats.
Over the next few weeks, numerous reports were made that patrons of the dock were missing fuel tanks, fuel, fishing equipment, trailer wheels and tires, and other items. Additional video and photographicall evidence was obtained during these incidents as well, which also took place in the early morning hours. A white van had also been observed at the location as well. Jordan Marina also has photographs of the same person stealing fuel and other items from their facility.
On October 8th, an anonymous email was received which told of numerous fishing gear, tools, boat motors, and other items that had appeared at the residence of TYLER HUDGENS over the last few months. The email also stated that HUDGENS drives a white van.
Sheriff’s Investigators went to the residence in the Jordan area and spoke with the owner of the property. The owner confirmed that TYLER HUDGENS lives on the property and had been bringing numerous items to the site and storing them in and around an outbuilding. These were valued collectively at approximately $15,000.
