MIDWAY MAN ARRESTED FOR FELONY DRUG POSSESSION

A Midway man, 60 year old LARRY DALE MAYNARD, was arrested by Sheriff’s Investigators Tuesday morning, June 2nd, when he was observed walking on Baxter CR 486 by an Investigator who knew MAYNARD had an outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrant.
Sheriff’s Investigator Trey Edings detained LARRY MAYNARD on the outstanding warrant and placed him under arrest. During a search of MAYNARD’s person, the Investigator found approximately 7.4 grams of methamphetamine and approximately 3.9 grams of marijuana in MAYNARD’s pocket. The methamphetamine was pre-packaged into smaller baggies.
LARRY MAYNARD was transported to the Detention Center and booked on charges of:
Possession of Methamphetamine with Purpose of Delivery – Felony
Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance (Marijuana) – Misdemeanor
Habitual Offender – Penalty Enhancement
Contempt of Court – Misdemeanor
Warrant Probation Violation – Misdemeanor
LARRY MAYNARD is being held in lieu of $20,000 bond on the felony charges and without bond on the probation violation. He will appear in Circuit Court on June 4th. An Agent with the Fourteenth Judicial District Drug Task Force assisted with the arrest.
