26 Year Old Yellville Man Arrested For Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree

A joint investigation by the Arkansas State Police and the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of a Yellville, Arkansas man, 26 year old Charles Joseph Campbell Jr.
The investigation was initiated on May 20, 2015 after Sheriff’s investigators received information that Campbell had been engaging in deviant sexual activity with a female juvenile. Evidence was collected from the reported scene of the crime. Subsequent interviews of witnesses and the victim were conducted by investigators. After further investigation Campbell was interviewed by investigators and during the interview Campbell admitted to the allegations.
Charles Joseph Campbell Jr. was charged with:
Sexual Assault in the 1st Degree Class A Felony
Campbell was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and is currently being held on $100,000 bond pending his appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on May 28th at 9 am.
The investigation is continuing and no further information about this case will be released from the Sheriff’s Office.
