The Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 44 year old Midway, Arkansas man, CHRIS EUGENE TISDALE, on charges related to his breaking into mini-storage units at the Stash and Dash storage facility near Gassville. Deputies were dispatched to that location on May 17th at approximately 4:30 PM after the owner of the facility called the Sheriff’s Office to report she had found a man, identified as CHRIS TISDALE, on the premises, and that he was taking items of personal property out of a mini storage unit that was not rented to him.
Sheriff’s Sergeant Brian Davis arrived on the scene and confronted TISDALE about the complaint. TISDALE confirmed that he did not have a storage unit rented on the property. TISDALE had a large amount of personal property items inside his car, which he said was his. Sergeant Davis contacted the person who was the actual renter of the mini storage unit in question, and she came to the premises. She identified boxes of property in the possession of control of TISDALE as belonging to her and as having been removed from her unit.
CHRIS TISDALE was arrested and transported to the Detention Center. He was later interviewed and subsequently admitted to breaking into more than one storage unit and removing contents therefrom. He was booked on charges of:
Breaking or Entering (2 counts) – Felonies
Theft of Property – Felony
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor
He was released from custody on May 18th after posting $15,000 bond and will appear in Circuit Court on May 28th. He may also be facing similar charges in Marion County.
