DRUG TAKE BACK EVENT WAS A BIG SUCCESS
04/27/2015
This past Saturday’s Drug Take Back Event was a big success. The Sheriff’s Office and Coroner’s Office collected a total of 171.5 pounds of unused or unwanted medications that were turned in at the collection site at the Donald W. Reynolds Library.
These were added to a total of 1,403.5 pounds of medications that had been previously collected since the last take-back event, for a combined total weight of 1,575 pounds.
The Sheriff’s Office wants to thank the officers and volunteers who helped at the collection site on Saturday and also to thank the public for its conscientious efforts to make sure that these medications are disposed of in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner.
