Joint Press Release – Gassville Police Department and Baxter County Sheriff’s Office

On Tuesday, February 24 at approximately 2 pm, Deputies and Investigators with the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, Officers from the Gassville Police Department, Officers from the 14th Judicial Drug Task force and Officers from the Arkansas Parole and Probation Office conducted a home visit on parolee, Joseph Bermingham at his residence, 95 Moon Hollow Lane, in Gassville, Arkansas.  Bermingham is currently on parole for felony drug convictions out of Baxter County.  Officers also found living at the residence with Bermingham, Pamela Pendergrass, who is currently on probation out of Marion County for drug paraphernalia convictions.

While at the residence, officers located a loaded Hi-Point 40 caliber pistol, schedule IV controlled substance, Alprazolam, schedule II controlled substance, Hydromorphone, suspected marijuana and a grinding device that appeared to have been used to process marijuana, five (5) used syringes with suspected drug residue, two (2) glass pipes with suspected methamphetamine residue, a set of scales and approximately 200 plastic baggies commonly used in drug transactions and a level IIIA bullet proof vest. Approximately $2200 in cash was also found.

In a tool shed located on the property numerous items were found that appeared to be stolen, including wheels, tires, tools, axles and scrap metal. Marion County Investigators were contacted to assist. The investigators identified more than $11,400 worth of items believed to have been taken from a manufacturing facility in Marion County, where Bermingham once worked. Other items were located on property that appeared to have been burned in order to remove the manufacturer's name and markings.

Officers also found surveillance cameras and equipment located at the residence which were active and in use. Officers seized the suspected drugs, drug paraphernalia, scales, computer, DVR Surveillance System Recorder, two cell phones, $2200 cash and the bullet proof vest. Officers also seized the suspected stolen items.

Joseph Allen Bermingham, age 39 of Gassville was charged with:

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-     Class D Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Process and Package and Conceal)-     Class B Felony Felon in Possession of a Firearm-     Class B Felony Weapons Possession During Controlled Substance Offense-     Class Y Felony Criminal Possession of Body Armor-     Class D Felony Theft by Receiving-     Class C Felony Theft by Receiving of Scrap Metal-     Class D Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Hydromorphone-      Class D Felony Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance-     Class A Misdemeanor

Bermingham is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on Bond of $50,000 plus a ‘No Bond” Parole Hold. Bermingham is also facing Felony theft charges out of Marion County.

Pamela Grace Pendergrass, age 22 of Gassville, was charged with: 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-     Class D Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Process and Package and Conceal)-     Class B Felony Felon in Possession of a Firearm-     Class B Felony Weapons Possession During Controlled Substance Offense-     Class Y Felony Criminal Possession of Body Armor-     Class D Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Hydromorphone-      Class D Felony Possession of Schedule IV Controlled Substance-     Class A Misdemeanor

Pendergrass is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center on Bond of $35,000 and a ‘No Bond’ Probation Hold.
