WOMAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING PRESCRIPTION DRUGS

The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 29 year old REGINA JEAN COLON of Gassville on a number of charges after serving an outstanding arrest warrant for her on Wednesday afternoon, February 18th, at 2777 Hwy 201 North of Mountain Home.
A report had been taken on February 3rd from a person residing on Baxter CR 1159 stating that approximately twenty (20) prescribed morphine pills had been stolen from his residence. He named a suspect who had come inside the residence purportedly to use the phone and who had gone into the bathroom where the pills were stored. After she left, the victim discovered the morphine pills were gone.
On February 9th, the suspect, REGINA COLON, was interviewed in regards to the complaint. She admitting being at the residence, but did not admit to the theft. After further investigations, a bench warrant was obtained from the Circuit Court for the arrest of REGINA COLON. She was found at approximately 1:30 PM yesterday at the Hwy 201 North address and taken into custody. While at this residence, investigators found additional violations, including COLON being in possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of a schedule III controlled substance (Suboxone), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Additional items, including a small amount of an unidentified white powder substance, were seized and will be send to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for testing.
REGINA COLON has been incarcerated in the Detention Center on charges of:
Possession of Schedule I or II Controlled Substance – Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana
- Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
Breaking or Entering – Felony
Theft of Property – Felony
Controlled Substances – Fraudulent Practices – Felony
She is currently being held in lieu of $12,635 and will appear in Circuit Court on March 12th to answer.
