The fall National Drug Take Back Event was by far the largest take back event ever for Baxter County. For the four hour event, 124 cars came through the parking lot of the Donald W Reynolds Library and dropped old medications. Sheriff Investigators Lt. Terry Johnson and Sgt. Brad Hurst along with Coroner Elect, Brad Hays and HRA Region 2 Prevention Representative Bambi Bowden were on hand to greet people as they came through.
The totals for the event are:
1231 Pounds of Prescription Drugs to be turned into the DEA for disposal
We would like to thank everyone for their participation and their continued support. Together we can make in difference.
