Brian A. Maxwell

     The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 38 year old BRIAN A. MAXWELL, who resides in the rural Gassville area, on charges of rape and sexual assault following an investigation into a report filed on June 30^th.

     It was reported to the Sheriff’s Office that BRIAN MAXWELL had engaged in sexual contact with two female children, a 9 year old and a 4 year old, who are related to him.  An investigation was initiated based upon the complaint.  Interviews were conducted, and the Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Tuesday afternoon, July 1^st, at MAXWELL’s address on Baxter CR 511.  Items seized during the search included a computer and some thumb drives. 

    BRIAN MAXWELL was taken into custody at the residence.  During subsequent interview, MAXWELL admitted to the accusations made against him.  He has been booked into the Detention Center on the following charges:

Rape – Under 14 years of age (2 counts) – Felonies
Sexual Assault in the Second Degree (1 count) – Felony

     BRIAN MAXWELL is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond pending an appearance before a judicial officer that is set for July 17^th.
