EMERGENCY PERSONNEL RESPOND TO SELF-INFLICTED SHOOTING INCIDENT

The Sheriff’s Office and EMS personnel responded to 519 CR 391 this morning at approximately 9:23 AM after the 911 call center received call from a man residing at that address indicating he was going to harm himself with a handgun. The line remained open while emergency personnel responded, but there was no further communication between the caller and the 911 center.
Upon arrival at approximately 9:33 AM, deputies found that 78 year old DANIEL E. BLY of that residence had sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound from a handgun. He was found outside the residence.
DANIEL BLY was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center by ambulance. His condition is unknown at present. There is no foul play suspected.
