Two Mountain Home residents have been arrested on felony drug charges after Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office and the Fourteenth Judicial Drug Task Force utilized an informant to make a controlled buy of morphine pills from them on January 23rd.

Investigators arranged through the informant to purchase ten (10) 30 mg morphine pills for $200 from the offenders at their residence on 7th Street in Mountain Home.  The transaction was monitored and recorded by officers.

Arrangements for the drug sale were facilitated by use of a cellular phone, and the drug sale took place within 1,000 feet of the Eastside Baptist Church, which allows for an enhanced penalty.

Officers with the Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Home Police Department went to the residence Wednesday afternoon, March 26th, and made two arrests.

Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance (morphine) – Class C Felony
Unlawful Use of Communications Device – Class C Felony
Proximity to Certain Facilities (church) – Penalty Enhancement
Parole Violation – Felony

RICHARD BURGER has a bond of $10,000 on the drug charges and a hold without bond on the parole violation.  He will appear in Circuit Court today, March 27th, to answer.

DANYELLE NICOLE ASTRY, 33 years old of Mountain Home, was arrested and charged with:
