MAN SELLS DRUGS TO PERSON COOPERATING WITH SHERIFF'S OFFICE

A Baxter County man, 26 year old RYAN WADE AMYX, was arrested on November 26th and remains in the Baxter County Detention Center on felony drug charges after a citizen cooperating with Sheriff’s Investigators made a controlled buy from him in July, 2013.
The cooperating citizen was given $240.00 to purchase illicit drugs from AMYX. AMYX sold approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine, 4 amphetamine/dextroamphetamine 20mg pills, and 2 vyvanse 70mg capsules in exchange for this money. The transaction was remotely monitored and recorded by Sheriff’s Investigators.
RYAN AMYX used a cellular telephone to facilitate the sale, which took place within 1000 feet of the Amon’s Lake soccer field park. A bench warrant was later obtained for the arrest of RYAN AMYX, who is charged with:
Delivery of Methamphetamine – Class C Felony
Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance (2 counts ) – Class C Felonies
Unlawful Use of Communications Device – Class C Felony
Proximity to Certain Facilities – Enhanced Penalty Statute
AMYX is being held in lieu of $20,000 bond, with an appearance in Circuit Court set for December 9th.
