GAMALIEL WOMAN ARRESTED ON FELONY DRUG CHARGE

The Sheriff’s Office has arrested 20 year old KAITLYN MARIE JOHNSTON of Gamaliel on a felony charge of Delivery of Methamphetamine. A cooperating individual assisted Sheriff’s Investigators in arranging controlled buys of methamphetamine from JOHNSTON on two separate occasions in July, 2013.
During the first occurrence, the cooperating individual purchased approximately 2.5 grams of methamphetamine from JOHNSTON for $175.00. During the second transaction, the cooperating individual purchased approximately 2 grams of methamphetamine for $185.00. KAITLYN JOHNSTON utilized a cellular telephone to facilitate the drug transactions. Both transactions were monitored and recorded by Sheriff’s Investigators.
A bench warrant was then obtained by Investigator Trey Edings, and KAITLYN MARIE JOHNSTON was arrested on the warrant and booked into the Detention Center on October 11th. She was later released from custody after posting $25,000 bond on charges of:
Delivery of Methamphetamine – Felony
Unlawful Use of Communications Device – Felony
She will appear in Circuit Court on October 24th.
