Derrick Leon McDaniel

The Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public that a Midway area man has Registered as a Sex Offender at the Sheriff’s Office and is now residing in Baxter County. 

NAME:                       DERRICK LEON McDANIEL
                                    a/k/a Derrick Daniel, a/k/a Dere McDaniel,
                                    a/k/a Derrick L. McDaniels 

DATE OF BIRTH:   05/19/1965 

HOME ADDRESS:  231 Backwood Drive
                                    Midway, Arkansas 72651 

     The offender was convicted in August, 2004 on two (2) counts of Sexual Abuse in Maricopa County, Arizona, was imprisoned, and was ordered on probation for 99 years.  The victims were a 16 year old female and a 20 year old female unknown to him.   The offender was recently released from the Arizona Department of Corrections. 

     This offender has not yet been assigned a Risk Level by SOSRA (Sex Offender Screening and Risk Management). 

     This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time.  This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.  This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders.  Citizen abuse will not be tolerated.  Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to do community notification.
