MULTIPLE CHARGES FILED AGAINST LONE ROCK AREA MAN

A Lone Rock area man, 35 year old JONATHAN E. NESTING, is in the Baxter County Detention Center following his arrest on the evening of Sunday, May 19th, for numerous charges.
At approximately 8:04 PM on May 19th, Sheriff’s Sgt. Charles Bost was notified that a vehicle being sought by the Mountain Home Police Department had been spotted at the Murphy Oil Gas Station in from of Walmart on Highway 62 East and had then left, turning down Baxter CR 28. The vehicle had been taken from the owner on May 18th and had not been returned to her.
Sgt. Bost met the vehicle, a Chevrolet Trailbazer, on Jade Lane and stopped it near the intersection of Baxter CR 28. The vehicle was driven by JONATHAN E. NESTING. NESTING told Sgt. Bost that there were drugs and needles in the vehicle, and that he had injected methamphetamine earlier in the day. His driver license was also suspended.
Sgt. Bost and other deputies conducted a search of the vehicle. They found four syringes and a clear plastic baggie containing approximately 2.3 mg of suspected marijuana. Also found were two separate types of tablets (2 of each kind) that were determined to be Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen of varying strength, both being schedule III controlled substances.
JONATHAN E. NESTING was taken into custody and transported to the Detention Center on charges of:
Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs – Misdemeanor
Driving on Suspended License – Misdemeanor
Possession of Schedule III Controlled Substance – Felony
Possession of Schedule VI Controlled Substance – Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Misdemeanor
Unauthorized Use of Vehicle (Mountain Home PD charge) - Misdemeanor
NESTING is being held in lieu of $7,500 bond on the county charges and will appear in Circuit Court on May 23rd.
