DRUG WARRANT SERVED ON FAYETTEVILLE MAN

A 36 year old Fayetteville man has been arrested on an outstanding Baxter County bench warrant after he turned himself in on April 10th. A warrant had been issued for JAMES RAY DEAN after Baxter County Sheriff’s Investigators used a cooperating individual to purchase approximately .50 grams of methamphetamine from DEAN for $50.00 on April 21, 2012. A cellular phone was utilized to facilitate the transaction, which took place in the immediate vicinity of a church.
JAMES RAY DEAN was booked into the Detention Center on charges of:
Delivery of Methamphetamine – Felony
Unlawful use of a Communications Device – Felony
Proximity to Certain Facilities (church) – Felony
DEAN is being held in lieu of $5,000 bond, with an appearance in Circuit Court slated for April 25th.
