24 Year Old Mountain Home Woman Arrested For Possession of Meth

On Thursday, April 4th at approximately 6:30 pm, Baxter County Deputies were notified by Mountain Home Police Officers that they needed assistance in a wooded area on Hwy 62 East of Mountain Home. Police had responded to a call of a woman screaming and upon their arrival and contact with the woman, the area in question was outside of the city limits of Mountain Home.
The woman’s speech was slurred; she was unsteady on her feet and appeared to be under the influence of some type of intoxicant or drug. Assisted by Police, the woman, 24 year old Melissa Sanders, was arrested by Deputy Charles Menschik without incident. There were several small packages of a white powdered substance and 5 syringes that were found in a bag in Sander’s possession. The 3 small bags contained 1.7 grams of a white powdered substance believe to be methamphetamine.
Melissa Lee Sanders, age 24 of Mountain Home was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and charged with:
Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Public Intoxication
Melissa Sanders posted a $10,000 bond and was released pending her appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on April 25th at 9 am.
