03/21/2013
James Daniel Storz, Sr. |
The Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public that a rural Gamaliel man who had previously Registered as a Sex Offender at the Sheriff’s Office but had not yet been assessed has now been assigned a risk level by the Sex Offender Screening and Risk Management Board. He has now been assessed as a Level 2 offender (moderate risk to re-offend with community notification justified).
NAME: JAMES DANIEL STORZ, SR.
DATE OF BIRTH: 08/18/1946
HOME ADDRESS: 164 CR 810
Gamaliel, Arkansas 72537
The offender was convicted on August 27, 2012 in Jefferson County, Missouri of Statutory Rape 2nd Degree. This offense involved the then 53-year-old offender engaging in ongoing sexual contact with a 12 to 16 year old female acquaintance. Community notification is justified because of the young age of the victim at the time the crime occurred.
This person is not wanted by law enforcement at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear; rather it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public. This information cannot be used to threaten, intimidate, or harass Registered Sex Offenders. Citizen abuse will not be tolerated. Such abuse could potentially end law enforcement’s ability to do community notification.
