STOLEN SEMI-TRUCK RECOVERED IN GAMALIEL

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen semi- truck this morning at 3934 CR 43 in Gamaliel. The Sheriff’s Office received information from Bob Neal of Neal Investigations stating he had located a stolen 2006 Red Freightliner Truck at that address. He had been hired to attempt to find the truck.
Sheriff’s Investigators went to the address and observed the truck inside a fenced area. Investigators obtained a search warrant and returned to the address at 11:30 AM to execute the warrant and seize the stolen vehicle. The vehicle had been entered as stolen into the National Crime Information Center system on September 13, 2012 by the Birmingham, Alabama Police Department. The vehicle, which is owned by CRST, Inc. of Birmingham, is valued at $50,000.
No arrests have been made, however a suspect is potentially facing Theft charges from Alabama, as well as local charges in Baxter County.
