William Richard Tallerdy |
A Registered Sex Offender residing in Baxter County is now in the Detention Center after turning himself in on an outstanding felony warrant from the State of Wyoming. WILLIAM RICHARD TALLERDY, a 28 year old Level 2 Sex Offender, had been residing at 390 Surrey Drive in Lakeview.
On Tuesday, September 25th, the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office was notified by authorities in Laramie County, Wyoming that WILLIAM TALLERDY was wanted on a felony warrant in their jurisdiction for Escape from a Transitional Center and for Probation Violations on two previous counts of Sexual Assault in the Third Degree. The Wyoming warrant was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computer on September 24th. Wyoming authorities found that TALLERDY was registered as a sex offender in Baxter County and contacted this office to assist in serving the warrant.
Sheriff’s Deputies made attempts to locate WILLIAM TALLERDY at his registered address on Surrey Drive and at his listed place of employment without being able to find him at either location. This morning, the Sheriff’s Office broadcast an alert to officers in Baxter and surrounding counties to watch for TALLERDY and gave a description of the vehicle he was driving.
Within two hours of the alert being broadcast, WILLIAM TALLERDY turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Administration Offices and was taken into custody. He is currently being held in the Baxter County Detention Center without bond, awaiting extradition to the State of Wyoming on their warrant.
