ARREST MADE IN MANHUNT FOR SUSPECT IN STOLEN VEHICLE

An arrest has been made for theft of a motor vehicle in the incident from Tuesday evening, September 11th, when the driver of a vehicle fled on foot from officers on Holland Lane South of Mountain Home. It was determined the vehicle had been stolen from a residence on Oak Ridge Drive in Salesville.
Officers, as well as the K-9 team from the Department of Corrections and the Sheriff’s Office helicopter, searched for the man for several hours, but he was not located. Investigators were able to develop a suspect, and he was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon, September 13th.
AARON JOHN GUPTILL, 45 years old of Mountain Home, has been charged with:
Theft of Property (motor vehicle) – Felony
Failure to Appear – Misdemeanor warrant
Non-Payment of Fines – Misdemeanor warrant
Body Attachment for Child Support Non-Payment
GUPTILL has a bond of $15,000 on the vehicle theft charge, $745 on the misdemeanor warrants, and $2,500 on the child support order. He is currently in the Detention Center and will appear in Circuit Court on October 4th.
