SUSPECT SURRENDERS HIMSELF ON FELONY DRUG WARRANT

     A rural Henderson man who fled from the Arkansas State Police at a Mountain Home shopping center on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 11th, surrendered himself to the Baxter County Detention Center yesterday afternoon on an outstanding felony drug warrant and on state police charges stemming from the incident Tuesday.

     NICHOLAS RAY WEEKS, 25 years of age, is being held in custody on $51,455 bond on multiple charges.  Sheriff’s Investigators had obtained a bench warrant for the arrest of NICHOLAS RAY WEEKS after making controlled buys of narcotic pills from him in April and May, 2012.  These drugs were Oxycodone Hydrochloride, a schedule II controlled substance.  During the transactions, WEEKS used a cell phone to facilitate the buys.  At least one of these transactions occurred within close proximity to a church. 

     NICHOLAS RAY WEEKS remains incarcerated on charges of:

     Delivery of Schedule II Controlled Substance – Felony
     Distribution of Controlled Substance near Certain Facilities – Penalty Enhancement
     Conspiracy to Manufacture a Controlled Substance – Felony
     Unlawful Use of a Communications Device – Felony
     Fleeing from Officer – Misdemeanor
     Obstructing Governmental Operations – Misdemeanor
     Criminal Impersonation in the Second Degree – Misdemeanor
     Disregarding a Traffic Signal – Misdemeanor
     No Proof of Liability Insurance – Misdemeanor

     WEEKS will appear in Circuit Court on the felony charges today, September 13th, and will appear in District Court on the misdemeanor charges on October 11th.
