SHERIFF'S OFFICE EXPERIENCES RELATIVELY CALM LABOR DAY WEEKEND

The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office had a relatively calm and uneventful Labor Day Holiday Weekend. Activity recorded from Friday, August 31st through Monday, September 3rd indicated the following numbers:
84 Complaint Calls or Calls for Service answered by Sheriff’s Deputies
31 Detention Center Bookings from all area law enforcement agencies.
Detention Center Bookings included:
4 Driving While Intoxicated
3 Driving Under the Influence (minors .02 BAC or higher)
2 Minors in Possession of Alcohol
1 Boating While Intoxicated
1 Public Intoxication
In addition to routine patrols, the Sheriff’s Office also provided patrols of U. S. Army Corp of Engineers Parks on Lakes Norfork and Bull Shoals. Deputies provided crowd and traffic control on Saturday evening for the fireworks display on Lake Norfork, which had been postponed from the July 4th holiday weekend.
There were no significant water-related incidents reported this past weekend.
