The Sheriff's Office is investigating a Residential Burglary that took place sometime prior to December 5, 2008. The residence at 60 Wolf Drive, in the Midway area, had been unoccupied for some months, with a neighbor periodically checking on the home. The neighbor alerted Sheriff's Deputies when he found the porch door to be shattered and entry made into the house. Items stolen included a big screen television and two firearms, which had a collective value of approximately $8,500.
Sheriff's Investigator Lt. Johnson processed the crime scene for evidence and has been checking pawn shops for these items, but there has been little learned thus far in the investigation.
If any member of the public has any information at all concerning this crime, they are asked to contact the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division at 425-7000 or leave a tip on the Sheriff's Office tip hot line at 424-4636.
