Renita Lyn Lynes
Renita Lyn Lynes

At approximately 3:57 pm, a 911 call was received that a woman was on the US Highway 62 Bridge that crosses Lake Norfork. The caller stated the woman looked as though she was going to jump off the bridge.

Corporal Mike Holland and Deputy Kris Savino, Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies, responded and made contact with the woman near the center of the bridge. The woman kept yelling at Corporal Holland to get back and not come near her. A short time later a second Deputy, Sergeant David Estes, arrived at the scene. Sgt. Estes diverted the woman's attention while Corporal Holland rushed in and grabbed the woman. She was taken into custody and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center without injury.

52 Year old Renita Lyn Lynes, of Mountain Home, was charged with disorderly conduct. She is being held without bond pending a professional evaluation.

Sheriff John Montgomery
