The Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 25 year old Lakeview man who has died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

     On Tuesday, May 2nd at approximately 11:15 PM, deputies were dispatched to 484 Surrey Drive in Lakeview on a report that a man had shot himself inside the residence.  Emergency medical personnel were also dispatched.  Responders found 25 year old NEIL MATTHEW PACKARD to be deceased upon their arrival.  The firearm he used was located and recovered by investigators.

     The body of the decedent is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock for autopsy to confirm cause and manner of death.  There is no indication of foul play.
