Convicted Felon Charged with Terroristic Threatening and Battery

On Tuesday, April 25th at approximately 9:18 pm, Baxter County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Hwy 62 East of Mountain Home to a report of a man with a gun threatening to kill family members.

When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived they encountered one of the victims running down the road towards them. The victim told Sheriff’s Deputies that the suspect had a pistol and had threatened to kill her and another family member.

Deputies were able to locate and safely secure two small children at the residence.  Deputies searched an RV on the property and the immediate area, locating the suspect behind a shed at the rear of the residence.  Deputies also located a loaded Sig Saur 380 pistol that was defaced.

The suspect, 25 year old Chad Allen McDaniel, was arrested and transported to the Baxter County Detention Center.  McDaniel was charged with:

Domestic Battery 3rd Degree       Terroristic Threatening Possession of a Firearm by a Felon Possession of a Defaced Firearm

Chad McDaniel was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on $20,000 bond pending his court appearance on April 27th at 1 pm
