SHERIFF'S OFFICE RESPONDS TO REPORTED OVERDOSE

    

     The Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported overdose on Ben Moore Circle in Briarcliff at approximately 6:00 PM Thursday evening, January 14th involving an 18 year old male.  Prior to the arrival of deputies, the victim had already been placed into an ambulance and was ultimately transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center (BRMC) in Mountain Home.

     The victim, 18 year old DUSTY LEE MELTON, did not survive and was pronounced deceased at BRMC later in the evening.  The decedent is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock by the Baxter County Coroner’s Office to determine cause of death.  There is no foul play suspected.
