44 Year Old Mountain Home Woman Arrested for Felony Domestic Battery

On June 29, 2015, at approximately 2:55 PM, 911 received a call of a physical domestic located on Westridge Road west of Mountain Home. While Baxter County Deputies were responding, 911 advised that they lost a connection with the caller several times during the conversation because of what sounded like a physical altercation.

Arkansas State Trooper Jackie Stinnett and Deputy, Corporal Kris Savino arrived at the residence and could hear screaming coming from the back yard. The suspect was being held on the by three individuals. A 12 inch serrated knife was located nearby. The suspect fought with officers and continued to resist arrest even after being handcuffed.

According to witness statements and physical evidence at the scene, the suspect fought with and struck three victims. The suspect attempted to stab one of the victims but the other two involved were able to wrestle the knife away from her. Threats were also made by the suspect to burn the home of one of the victims.

Susan Kay Boyd, age 44 of Mountain Home was charged with:

Terroristic threatening in the First Degree - Class D felony

Domestic Battery in the Second Degree - Class C felony (Enhanced due to victim being over age of 60)

Domestic Battery in the Third Degree - Class A misdemeanor (2counts)

Resisting, Refusal to Submit to, Arrest - Class A misdemeanor

Boyd was booked into the Baxter County Jail on $25,000 bond pending her appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court on July 2 at 9 am.
