DEPUTIES RESPOND TO APPARENT SUICIDE

     The Sheriff’s Office responded to an apparent suicide Tuesday evening, April 21st, at 4284 CR 69, South of Mountain Home.  Sheriff’s deputies were notified at approximately 7:40 PM that a victim of a self-inflicted gunshot wound had been reported at that address by way of a 911 call.  The victim was discovered by his wife, who had been away from the residence for about an hour.

     Deputies and Emergency Medical Personnel were dispatched immediately.  Upon arrival the victim was identified as 53 year old TOBBY LEE HAUGHT of that residence.  He was still alive, and emergency medical care was provided. He was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home and was later transferred by air ambulance to Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.  He was later pronounced dead there.

     Deputies found a small caliber handgun that the victim had used. There was no indication of foul play.
