The Sheriff’s Office was called by emergency medical personnel to investigate an unattended death this morning at 1152 Cranfield Road, East of Mountain Home.  EMS had been dispatched for an unresponsive female at this address.  After EMS arrived, they determined the female to be deceased and called the Sheriff’s Office at approximately 8:14 AM to investigate.

     Sheriff’s Investigators and the County Coroner arrived at the address and found 48 year old MIKELANN STEINBECK deceased there.   Another person residing at the residence with MIKELANN STEINBECK stated that STEINBECK had been alive when he saw her earlier at approximately 6:00 AM.  The decedent is being sent to the Arkansas State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy to determine cause and manner of death.

     There is no foul play suspected, but the investigation will remain open pending the results of the autopsy.
