The Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unattended death on Thursday, October 2^nd at 10:41 AM at 201 Jade Lane in rural Mountain Home.  Emergency medical personnel were also dispatched.

     The report came through the 911 Center when the caller reported she had had awakened to find her husband deceased.  The victim was identified as 39 year old CHESTER J. SHEPHERD of that address.

     Sheriff’s Investigators and the County Coroner conducted an investigation.  No apparent cause of death could be determined a the scene.  The body of the deceased is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Little Rock for autopsy to determine cause and manner of death. 

     There is no suspicion of foul play, however the case will remain open pending the results of the autopsy.
