A former Baxter County resident, 62 year old ROBERT E. CAMILLI, has been arrested and booked into the Baxter County Detention Center on an outstanding bench warrant for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.

ROBERT CAMILLI was convicted in Baxter County on April 6, 2006 for Sexual Indecency with a Child and Failure to Register.  This particular offense involved CAMILLI exposing himself to an adult female and a 5 year old girl.  CAMILLI had been residing at 661 Nubbin Ridge Rd.  He also had convictions for sex offenses in other states.

On March 1, 2012, the Sheriff’s Office attempted to verify residency status and found that CAMILLI was no longer living at his stated address.  His whereabouts were unknown.  Sheriff’s Investigators obtained a bench warrant from the Circuit Court on April 25, 2012 for the arrest of ROBERT CAMILLI for Failure to Register.  The warrant was entered into the NCIC system.

During the past several weeks, the Sheriff’s Office began receiving citizen tips indicating that ROBERT CAMILLI was residing in the Kingman, Arizona area, moving around between RV Parks in the area.  On April 7, 2014, the Sheriff’s Office was notified by authorities in Mohave County, Arizona that they had arrested and taken into custody ROBERT CAMILLI on the outstanding Baxter County warrant.

Earlier this week, Baxter County deputies traveled to Kingman, Arizona to pick up CAMILLI and return him to Baxter County to answer.  ROBERT CAMILLI was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center at 11:41 PM on April 16th, where he is being held in lieu of $15,000 bond.  He will appear in Circuit Court at a later date.
