Sherman F. Rowden

A Mountain Home man, 42 year old SHERMAN F. ROWDEN, has been incarcerated in the Detention Center on charges of burglary and theft following an investigation into a complaint filed November 16, 2013.

Sheriff’s Corporal Scott Thrasher was dispatched to 143 Hummingbird Lane on November 16th to take a report from a property owner about items being stolen from a residence he owned.  Prior to the report being made, the owner and another witness observed SHERMAN ROWDEN, a former tenant, to be in possession of some of the stolen articles. Sheriff’s Investigator Jim Mandock conducted a follow-up investigation and ultimately obtained a bench warrant for the arrest of SHERMAN ROWDEN.  According to the complainant, articles stolen were tool cases, label printer, laptop computer, boat seats, coffee table and end table, bib overalls, a coat, electrical components, and a knife set.  These items were valued collectively at approximately $11,000.00.

SHERMAN ROWDEN was arrested by the Mountain Home Police Department late in the morning of January 14, 2014 on the outstanding warrant.  He was taken to the Detention Center and booked on charges of:

Residential Burglary – Felony
Theft of Property – Felony
Failure to Appear in Court (2 counts) – previous outstanding misdemeanor warrants

Bond is $15,000.00, and ROWDEN will appear in Circuit Court on January 23rd.
