TWO CHARGED WITH IMPAIRING JAIL OPERATIONS

11/26/2013

Jackson Holland

Doyle George

A Briarcliff man, 19 year old JACKSON HOLLAND, was arrested this afternoon at approximately 1:00 PM on an outstanding felony arrest warrant that was obtained because of damage he caused to the Detention Center when he was confined there from October 17th to October 31st on misdemeanor charges of probation violation and contempt of court.

On October 30th, Jailers observed that a shower curtain in one of the housing units was not in its normal location.  Upon further investigation, Jailers found that pieces of metal had been ripped from the ceiling of the Detention Center.  The shower curtain had been moved to attempt to conceal this activity.  A playback of video footage from the security camera system allowed Jailers to identify JACKSON HOLLAND as one of the persons engaged in tearing off the metal.  A bench warrant was later obtained charging HOLLAND with Impairing the Operations of a Vital Public Facility, a Felony.  He is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond, with a court appearance set for December 5th.

A second former jail inmate, 40 year old DOYLE GEORGE, has been previously charged in the same incident with the same charge.  He was released from custody on bond on November 21st on that charge and other charges.
