SAME HOUSE BURGLARIZED TWICE; MANY ITEMS STOLEN

The Sheriff's Office has two open and un-cleared residential burglary cases involving the same house on Phipps Manor Drive in the Jordan area and the same victim.

The first case was reported to the Sheriff's Office on April 4, 2014.  The homeowners had been away for an extended period of time.  When they returned, they found their home had been burglarized and a multitude of items of personal property stolen.  These items included the following:

Ruger 9mm pistol, black, valued at $600.
Marlin .22 cal rifle, valued at $200.
Judge .45 cal pistol valued at $600.
Sony DVD/Blu Ray player valued at $150.
Bow and arrow, pink/camo valued at $500.
Multiple DVDs
Several boxes of ammunition (.22 cal, .45 cal, .40 cal) valued at $400.
Two Crossman pump BB guns valued at $200.
Telescope valued at $200.
Night vision goggles valued at $250.
Miscellaneous tools and household/kitchen items.

The second burglary at this same residence was discovered on May 31st when deputies responded to an alarm at the address.  Deputies found entry had been made through a broken window.  It is unknown if any additional property items were taken at that time.

Some evidence was collected and processed at the scene, but no suspects have been developed as of this time.

Any person having knowledge or information concerning these burglaries is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division by phone or in person.  In the alternative, anonymous tips may be left on the Sheriff's crime tip line 870-424-4636 or through the website (www.baxtercountysheriff.com).

The Sheriff's Office appreciates the public's continued support and assistance in helping keep Baxter County a great place to live, work, and play.
